“If one’s body can be considered a canvas to paint upon with clothes and accessories, then Daniel Lismore is one of the
greatest artists if not portraitist ever to walk the face of the earth”
- New York Journal -

Daniel Lismore is globally recognised for living his life as art. His elaborate and extravagant ensembles brilliantly combine haute couture with vintage fabrics, found objects, chainmail, ethnic jewellery, millinery and more in an expression of eccentric, creative energy.

Named by Vogue as England's most eccentric dresser, Daniel Lismore is an artist, designer, and stylist to some of the world’s most influential.

Drawing from a massive 6,000-piece collection that occupies a 40-foot container, three storage units and 30 IKEA boxes, Daniel creates himself anew every day. His materials range from beer cans and plastic crystals to diamonds, royal silks and 2,000-year-old Roman rings. And he builds his outfits from instinct, piling pieces on until — like a fashion-forward Goldilocks — everything feels just right.

Daniel’s book “Be Yourself, Everyone Else Is Already Taken” has contributions by Stephen Fry, Debbie Harry, Vivienne Westwood and Boy George.

Daniel’s message is that we can all make ourselves into walking masterpieces, and while it takes courage, the reward is being able to express our true selves. His work has been exhibited at Miami Art Basel, Venice Biennale, Tate Modern and Tate Britain in London.

An is also an active campaigner, Daniel’s personal wardrobe archive highlights his commitment to sustainable fashion. He was the face of H&M’s Close the Loop campaign to encourage recycling of clothes; the ambassador of Greenpeace and climate change charity Cool Earth; voted by The Guardian in the top 100 Pride Power List; has worked closely with the late Vivienne Westwood on sustainability; smuggled Lady Gaga into the Ecuadorian Embassy in London to help Julian Assange’s cause.
