Dr. Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg joins the Propela roster

Artist Dr. Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg has joined Propela’s roster of visionary thinkers and creative mavericks. 

Daisy Ginsberg was named "One to Watch" by the the Financial Times and voted a Future 50 by Icon Magazine. The Cambridge University and Royal College of Art graduate works across disciplines and media to explore how human values shape design, culture, science, technology and nature.

Daisy creates a bridge between the work of cutting edge science and technology and the public via captivating scenario building and storytelling. In particular, she has become instrumental in the field of synthetic biology and has spent over 10 years researching the design of living matter working with scientists, engineers, historians and global institutions.  

Projects on the horizon for 2019 include the wilding of planet Mars, the ‘search for the sublime’ through resurrecting the scent of extinct flowers in collaboration with leading biotech startup Ginkgo Bioworks, and using data from   the artificial intelligence company DeepMind  to digitally bring back a  Northern White Rhinoceros, the subspecies whose last male died in 2018.
