Veronica D'Souza is a trailblazing visionary and social entrepreneur who brings a wealth of experience and impact around the world. As the co-founder of two award-winning businesses, she demonstrates an unwavering commitment to positive social change and empowering marginalised communities. Her work has been widely recognised, with her businesses featured in The New York Times, Forbes, The Huffington Post, The Guardian, Vogue, Twin Magazine, Another Magazine, WWD, and others.

Veronica co-founded CARCEL (2016 - 2021), a pioneering fashion label dedicated to creating fair employment and education for incarcerated women in Thailand and Peru. The brand received prestigious accolades, including the Magasin Du Nord Fashion Prize 2019 and an invitation to open Copenhagen Fashion Week in 2019.

Prior to CARCEL, Veronica co-founded Ruby Cup (2011 - ), a menstrual cup company addressing period poverty for girls in East Africa. Ruby Cup's innovative approach has empowered an impressive 150,000 schoolgirls. 

Veronica is the founder of Geist Agency, where she advises global organisations on strategies related to impact, inclusivity, climate action, and storytelling. Her insights and expertise are highly sought after by diverse audiences worldwide. She holds key positions on the Board of The Danish Design Council and the INDEX Award jury, the world's largest design award for designs that improve life.

Fluent in multiple languages, including Danish, English, Italian, and Spanish, Veronica's work spans across continents, including East Africa, Latin America, Thailand, the United States, and Europe. Her global impact makes her a beacon of hope for underserved communities and an inspiration to all seeking to make a meaningful impact in the world.

Veronica holds an executive leadership degree from INSEAD Singapore and an MSc in Business & Politics from Copenhagen Business School. Her educational background also includes a specialisation in Sustainable Business Operations and Strategies from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business, Languages, and Culture from Copenhagen Business School and La UADE, Argentina. She is a UWCAD (United World College) alumni.

Recognised for her outstanding contributions, Veronica has received numerous accolades, including being an EY Social Entrepreneur winner, a Global Shaper alumni under the World Economic Forum, an Ashoka Youth Venture Mentor, a Humanity In Action senior fellow, and a co-author of 'The Road Map for Sustainable Leadership.'
